CARI.org Claudia, Don & Kathy Gibson attended CARI webinar:  Groups within State, one in southern RI, good leaders, recommended to go to demonstrations, get involved in legislation for town, state and nation. Get involved in larger groups to make a difference All team
Banking Banks which support fossil fuels and poor climate action companies.  Don shared the current efforts on Chase National which is located in Cranston and building a bank across from Wakefield Post Office and another bank in Cranston.. Some may wish to Attend non-violent informational picketing and/or write letters for divesting in fossil fuel companies All member
Assessing Inventory Now
Financials Claudia checked with Jim Blackerby to insure that church investments are climate friendly Claudia reported they are No follow-up
Energy Use RISE review of church energy use and useful upgrades Follow up with National Grid Earl
Congregant Input Don has put Inventory list under Education/Green Team on Web and will write a summary to be published in the e-light message on how to find it. Contact Ashley & Joanne for Website update and send e-light article to Ashley Don
Stewardship Claudia will work with Finance and PM on church new purchases and request to include climate change issues Claudia work with Finance and PM Claudia & Earl
Deacons Speak with Fred to insure Climate change included in periodic messages on Sundays Peter will work with Fred Peter
Climate  education Think of speakers, topics, events, courses:

·         potential speaker – Kathy Couchon (teacher in Narragansett), David Floyd (community gardens), Chris Hubbard (sustainability), Don Hermes (science of Climate Change), ??

·         Breakfast event with speakers

·         URI Metcalf series, which discusses climate and the interrelationship with racism

·         Youth garden (church or at Broad Rock)

·         When church opens, review inventories

Bring back ideas for next meeting All team
Priorities Need to identify 2 to 4 priorities – ones that could be quickly developed as well as long term goals. Identify and start addressing All team
Good News Natl Park bill 9.5B > fed lands from 25 to 30% better for environment Claudia shared Senate bill passing – push house to pass All members
