Music
Peace Dale Church prides itself in the variety and quality of its music programs.
Below you will find information on our various choral groups. All who have
an interest in music and can carry a tune are welcome to join! Call the
church office for further information – we’d love to have you!
Cherub Choir
Children ages 4-7 are welcome in this group of young choristers, who sing approximately every 2 months.
Junior (Children’s) Choir
Children in grades 3-8 are invited to join the Junior Choir. Boys and girls have an enjoyable experience with music while learning to sing using proper vocal techniques and vocal health. The Junior Choir sings in church once a month as well as for special services during the year.
Traditional Choir
This adult choir sings weekly at the 11:00 service, under the direction of Jeff Allard, Organist/Choirmaster and Director of Traditional Music, (Jeff also directs the Junior Choir). This group rehearses Thursday nights at 7:30 PM. While most music is traditional and accompanied by organ, the choir often joins together with the Bell Choir and/or the Praise Choir.
Bell Choir
Under the direction of Renee’ Lamontagne, this large and accomplished bell choir rehearses Tues evenings at 6:15 – 7:45 and generally plays 2 times per month, often accompanying one of the other choirs as well as playing independent full ensemble selections. The bell choir is a 4+ octave choir ringing Schulmerich handbells and chimes. Individual instruction is available for anyone who is inexperienced but would like to play.
Praise Choir
Music for the 9:00 Sunday Contemporary Service is under the direction of Ed DeFusco. This group of choristers and instrumentalists is a mix of both the young and young-hearted, singing praise music in an upbeat contemporary style. This group rehearses Wednesday nights at 7.
