Campaign Update - 10/15/2026
10/15/2026
Activity is in full swing for our Capital Campaign. I hope you have noticed the brightly colored posters about the campaign in the church hallways. They were designed by Susan Sward who also designed our brochure. Thank you, Susan, for sharing your talents with us for the campaign. Maria Cassaday was instrumental in creating the inspiring words for our brochure. Thank you, Maria.
And Jeff Healy secured a banner with our campaign logo on it that is displayed in Fellowship Hall. Thank you, Jeff.
Val and Don Lowell and Carol Edwards have been diligent in preparing mailings that have gone out during the past several weeks. Thank you for your time and efficiency.
This Friday there will be a gathering of selected donors at the White Pond House. Thank you to Eve Keenan for arranging for us to use this beautiful location. This group of people will learn more about the campaign (what the projects will entail and costs) and will receive their Letters of Intent to provide how they will support the campaign and move us toward our $2 million goal. Church leaders are also being asked to submit their pledges at this time.
Letters of Intent will be available to all in mid-November. If you would like to have a commitment letter prior to that time, please let Joanne Haynes know (joanne@haynesrandj.com) and we will see that you receive it.
Check out a video about the campaign. I hope you will find it informative as well as inspiring. Please join us on the journey to meet our goal and to Fulfilling the Promise.

Our Capital Campaign, Fulfilling the Promise, is now in full swing. Many of you will be receiving a mailing this coming week with our fabulous brochure and other information about the campaign. Be sure to look for an envelope with our campaign logo on the front.
Some of you had the opportunity to hear Jim Blackerby talk last Sunday about the campaign and Ways to Give. He did a great job in that presentation and we thank him for taking the time to make the presentation. Our webpage at peacedalechurch.org/capitalcampaign, is now available and contains information about our campaign. Check it out for updates about what’s happening.
Our contributions to the campaign are starting to grow. As of this writing we have received 13% of our goal of 2 million dollars from generous donors. Please start considering how you can support our campaign. Every contribution counts!

Sunday, September 20 marks the official launch of our Capital Campaign! During worship, the members of our Capital Campaign Executive Team will be commissioned, and we will share a brief update about this important initiative.
We are excited to introduce the team members who will help guide this effort:
Joanne Haynes (Administrator)
Claudia Swain (Giving Potential Task Group)
Eve Keenan (Lead Gifts Task Group)
Val Lowell (Administrative Support Task Group)
Lisbeth Pettegill (Print and Digital Task Group (Publicity))
Christine Grevstad (Hospitality)
Patti Gross (Recording Task Group)
Fred Evenson (Pastor)
Our campaign goal is $2 million, an investment in the future of Peace Dale Congregational Church and the ministries that make it such a vital part of our community.
The funds raised will support essential repairs to our historic church building, including replacing the sanctuary roof, repairing stained-glass windows, and replacing the boiler and fire system. These improvements will help ensure that our building remains safe, welcoming, and available for generations to come.
The campaign will also support renovations that strengthen our outreach ministries, including Dinner Table and Bistro. Planned kitchen renovations will bring the space up to code, while improvements to Fellowship Hall will enhance it as a gathering place for fellowship and community activity.
Together, these projects will help PDCC remain a vibrant hub for ministry, service, and community connection—a place where we can continue creating shalom and justice for all.
In the weeks ahead, there will be many opportunities to learn more about our plans and discover how you can support this campaign. This is our opportunity to care for the facilities that make our ministry possible and to carry forward PDCC’s legacy of service.
Our campaign will conclude on Sunday, December 13, Celebration Sunday.
Let’s come together with faith, gratitude, and enthusiasm as we work to Fulfill the Promise!
We hope you will join us in this shared spiritual journey. Together, let’s fulfill the promise.
